bonjour, hi. 😇
i’m christian scott, a researcher and designer splitting my time between Montreal/Tio’tia:ke and Mexico City. My passions run deep—community organizing, urban agriculture, sociology, participatory design all light up my world. Born in Mexico and now a long-time Montrealer, i’m fluent in three languages, hold dual nationalities, and own +2 sim-cards.
Currently, i’m diving into my PhD at Concordia University, where i’m exploring how play can spark civic participation and transform public spaces. With an MA in Sociology from McGill University (2012), i’ve delved into everything from urban bicycle movements in Mexico to creative urban interventions.
i am the co-founder and director of Mutual Design, a social impact research and design consultancy; building websites and doing branding for social and environmental initiatives and products.
My professional background includes coordinating urban sustainability projects at ECOLE, managing urban agriculture at Santropol Roulant, and engaging communities for Guadalajara’s bike-share system (MiBici).
