Gentrification: Sounds & Materiality
is a research-creation project that explores gentrificaton from the perspective of the materials involved in construction.
The project digs into theory on urban contested space, the
right to the city
, and urban change/gentrification; and creatively explores these ideas by creating soundscapes, poems, and installations.
In other words: a lot of messy-dusty fun at the studio.
